Choose the license for what you want to make
Start with the use, then choose the files. A gift for a friend, artwork for a client and a poster sold through a shop are different projects—even if they begin with the same map.
Your wall, a personal gift or an editable map
Free, Print Ready and Designer cover personal, non-commercial projects, including personal gifts. Think of a map for your own wall or a print you give to a friend. Their file options differ: Designer adds SVG for continued personal editing, not commercial permission.
A vector file is a technical capability. A license defines permitted use. Editing colours or text in another application does not turn a personal-use file into a commercial one.
Artwork for a business or client
Commercial covers business use, marketing and client/project work. Examples include artwork used in a business presentation or created as part of a commissioned design project. Delivery to the client is permitted where reasonably necessary as part of that finished commissioned work.
That is different from offering the map itself as a product for sale. Commercial rights alone do not cover resale products or print-on-demand. Nor do they let you sublicense the raw map as a reusable design asset.
Finished products for sale
Creator / Resale includes Commercial rights and adds finished-product resale and print-on-demand. A finished printed poster or another finished product incorporating the artwork can fit this use. A printer or fulfilment provider may receive the necessary files to manufacture the licensed product.

OpenStreetMap attribution remains on every package, including paid downloads.
Cartivale software ownership is not transferred with a download. OpenStreetMap data has its own rights and attribution requirements, separate from the Cartivale artwork license. Required geographic attribution remains on paid output too.
