Personal projects
Free, Print Ready and Designer cover personal, non-commercial use, including personal gifts. Designer includes SVG, but editing capability does not add commercial, resale or source-file resale rights.
Business and client work
Commercial permits business use, marketing, promotional materials, modification and client/project work. Delivery to a client is allowed as part of the finished commissioned work where reasonably necessary. It does not permit standalone map resale, resale products, print-on-demand, sublicensing or source/template redistribution.
Products for sale
Creator / Resale includes Commercial rights and adds finished-product resale and print-on-demand. You may use third-party printers and fulfillment providers as necessary to manufacture the licensed finished product, and carry out client work. This does not permit selling or distributing the raw PNG, PDF, SVG or source map as a standalone download, template or competing design asset.
Geographic credit stays with the map
Every package retains OpenStreetMap attribution. Paid packages remove Cartivale branding, not the geographic data credit. Cartivale package restrictions do not replace the Open Database License that separately governs OpenStreetMap data.
Rights that apply to every package
Cartivale grants non-exclusive, worldwide rights within the selected package. Permitted use of purchased output has no annual expiry; the 30-day download window is separate. No artificial seat or print-run limits are imposed by these licenses. No package transfers ownership of Cartivale software or templates, or permits raw output/source-map redistribution as a standalone map or competing template. OpenStreetMap rights and obligations remain separate. Read the dedicated licenses and Terms for the full conditions.
