These terms apply to the Cartivale digital map service supplied by Boetz Digital, trading as Cartivale. The linked business information identifies the contracting business. Consumers and businesses worldwide may purchase, subject to applicable law.

The service and your order
Cartivale lets you create map artwork and obtain digital files. No printing, framing or physical delivery is included. Check the selected artwork, physical dimensions, package, price and rights before paying. A paid purchase is tied to the artwork and size selected for that order, not an unlimited collection of maps.
Prices and payment
Package prices are shown in EUR including applicable tax. Paid packages are one-time purchases through Stripe-hosted Checkout. The selected package and confirmed payment determine access to the files. The Free package does not require payment. Compare current packages on the Pricing page.
Digital delivery and recovery
Paid exports are digital content for immediate supply after payment is confirmed. The purchase page provides generation and download; processing time can vary. We email confirmation of payment, the purchased package, recorded consent and applicable terms/license, with a private recovery link. Paid download access lasts 30 days from confirmed payment. Save a local copy and retry failed generation from the same purchase without paying again. Access expiry, later file deletion and the duration of permitted use are separate: allowed use of your downloaded output has no arbitrary annual expiry.
Your content and licensed use
You must have the rights to content you add. All package licenses are non-exclusive and worldwide; permitted use of purchased output has no annual expiry. Free, Print Ready and Designer are personal/non-commercial, including personal gifts. Designer SVG does not add commercial or source-resale rights. Commercial permits business, marketing and client work, including modification and necessary delivery within finished commissioned work, but no standalone resale, resale products, print-on-demand, sublicensing or source/template redistribution. Creator / Resale adds finished-product resale, print-on-demand and necessary printer/fulfillment access. No package permits standalone sale or distribution of raw PNG/PDF/SVG maps, source maps or competing templates. Cartivale software/templates remain separate, and OpenStreetMap rights and required attribution are preserved. See Licensing and the dedicated licenses.
Artistic maps and technical limits
Maps may simplify, omit or stylize features. They are artwork, not navigation, surveying or safety products. Colours can differ between displays and printers. The selected print size and package determine output quality, within the service’s supported limits. Accounts and permanent saved projects are not provided.
Service availability
Cartivale is an online service and may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. If a paid export cannot be generated because of a problem with Cartivale, you can retry generation through the purchase recovery process without paying again. If we cannot supply the purchased digital content, we will provide the remedy required under applicable law, which may include replacement or reimbursement. Temporary unavailability does not remove your statutory rights, and using recovery or retry does not limit remedies available immediately under applicable law. Intellectual property and acceptable use
Intellectual property
Cartivale’s software, website, rendering system, original theme and style definitions, artistic primitives, branding, design elements and other Cartivale-owned materials remain the intellectual property of Cartivale or its licensors. Purchasing or downloading map artwork does not transfer ownership of the Cartivale software, rendering system, templates or brand. Rights in downloaded artwork are governed by the applicable Cartivale license. OpenStreetMap data and other third-party materials and components remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. Their use does not make Cartivale’s proprietary implementation open source.
Acceptable use
You may not use Cartivale unlawfully or interfere with the operation or security of the service. You may not circumvent access controls, payment or download restrictions, rate limits or security measures; deliberately overload or disrupt the service; use automated requests in a way that materially interferes with normal operation; or attempt to gain unauthorized access to, or extract protected material from, Cartivale systems, data or generated files. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Cartivale, its users or third parties. These rules do not restrict acts or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or remove applicable consumer remedies.
Cancellation, faulty files and rights
Before paid Checkout, you must expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge that, where the law permits, your statutory withdrawal right is lost when supply begins. We record that choice and provide it with the contract information by email on a durable medium. The exception applies only when its legal conditions are met; payment or a download alone is not a waiver. Historical purchases without that evidence are not treated as having accepted the new statement. We offer no additional voluntary change-of-mind cancellation after supply begins where law permits. Statutory remedies for defective, non-conforming, corrupt or incorrectly supplied files remain available. Liability, support, complaints and governing law
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not permit it, or limits mandatory consumer rights and remedies. Consumers retain their statutory rights to compensation. For business orders only, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, Cartivale is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. Where liability may lawfully be limited, liability relating to a particular paid business order is limited to the amount paid for that order. Neither limitation applies to fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury, or where it would be prohibited or unreasonable under applicable law. Statutory rights to supply, correction, replacement, price reduction, termination or reimbursement remain unaffected.

Governing law
Dutch law governs these terms. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory consumer protections that apply to them under applicable law, including protections of their country of habitual residence where applicable. Mandatory rules about competent courts and access to remedies remain unaffected.

Cartivale may serve consumers and businesses worldwide. This does not mean worldwide map coverage. Search the editor and check the available geography before choosing an artwork.
