Good questions. Clear answers.

Cartivale is a browser-based map art studio. Choose available geography, explore artistic themes and add your own text, markers, routes and shapes before downloading your artwork.

Create map artwork from places across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Antarctica. Search for your place in the editor and explore the preview. Available detail varies by location, so check your chosen view before designing or buying.

Yes. You can create your artwork and download the Free package as a PNG at 150 DPI for personal use. It includes Cartivale and OpenStreetMap credits. Paid packages are one-time purchases for a particular artwork.

Cartivale supplies digital files. Physical printing, framing and shipping are not included. Take a suitable PDF or PNG to a printer, and check the chosen physical size before purchasing.

No. Designer adds SVG alongside PNG and PDF, but its license is personal. Choose Commercial for business use, or Creator / Resale for products you intend to sell.

Creator / Resale includes Commercial rights and permits finished-product resale, print-on-demand and necessary access for third-party printers or fulfillment providers. Commercial alone does not include those resale/POD rights. No package allows selling or distributing raw PNG/PDF/SVG output as a standalone downloadable map, source map, template or competing design asset.

Paid packages remove the Cartivale credit. OpenStreetMap attribution remains required on every package. Keep the geographic data credit when editing, publishing or printing your artwork.

For a paid package, you first expressly request immediate digital supply and acknowledge the withdrawal consequences. Stripe hosts Checkout. After payment confirmation, Cartivale sends a purchase/consent email and your purchase page provides generation and download. Free exports do not use Stripe or this paid-content consent.

Reopen your private purchase page and retry generation or download there. A generation failure does not require another payment. Paid access lasts 30 days from confirmed payment; save a local copy of your files.

The editor keeps a per-tab draft when you leave for Checkout, so cancelling Checkout can restore the artwork in that tab. This is not an account or permanent saved-project service. Keep your purchase link private and download your files.

The maps are designed as artwork. They may simplify or omit geographic details and should not be relied on for navigation, safety, property boundaries or measurements.

See Refunds & cancellation for the withdrawal procedure, online request, optional model form and email alternative. Requests are reviewed manually. The digital-content withdrawal exception applies only when its legal conditions are met, including prior express consent, acknowledgement, supply and required confirmation. Faulty or incorrectly supplied files and duplicate charges retain an appropriate support/remedy path.

Check spam and your private purchase page. An email failure does not undo confirmed payment. Contact support if the email is missing; do not make another purchase simply to obtain the same files.

Paid access and normal recovery storage last 30 days from payment; save a local copy. Files and map configurations are then eligible for cleanup unless held for an active matter. Necessary accounting and consent evidence has a separate legal retention period. The Privacy policy explains minimization, correspondence, logs and backups.
